I am an applied macroeconomist working on credit and labor markets.

I have written papers about the theoretical and empirical effects of employer credit checks on labor demand, the effect of demographic trends on labor's share of income, and the interaction between monetary policy and minimum wage regulation.

I also work on monetary policy in my role as a Fed economist and am the KC Fed research department's coordinating lead for the Jackson Hole Economic Symposium.

In my free time I goof around with my daughter Greta and wife Kat. I enjoy playing the drums (electronic these days) and collect vinyl records. I post photos of records and interact with other geeks (ahem, collectors) on Instagram.
